I’ve always been an introverted, shy and kinda awkward girl who just wanted to be seen and heard for her unique expression.
But I had a slight problem… speaking up and being bold with my voice made me really, really anxious.
I kept forcing myself into the spotlight through studying acting, being a yoga teacher and then becoming a public speaking coach.
I even got great feedback– that I seemed really confident and at ease.
But, I knew on the inside I felt uncomfortable, anxious and stressed.
I felt like an utter failure.
I didn’t want anyone to know! And, hid my feelings of performance anxiety from everyone.
I knew that no one would see me as an expert if I couldn’t be confident within myself.
A lot has changed since then.
Now, I speak all the time (~84 speaking gigs last year) and I even look forward to being in the spotlight.
I’m friends with my self-consciousness and self-criticism, so that they no longer stop me.
And, I walk away from a speaking opportunity feeling refreshed and content, easily moving on to the next thing.
But, I’ll never forget the way it felt to be secretly consumed by anxiety.
Since that uncomfortable time several years ago I’ve developed a system to transform performance anxiety into confidence and it’s available to you NOW!
