Have you felt like you have to emulate men in order to be respected or have authority?

I spent a lot of time pushing and muscling πŸ’ͺ confident leadership presence only to be left burnt out and depleted, 😡 without the results I hoped for.

As a professional woman I know you want to succeed and make a difference. And, I know you have a nagging fear of failure or of letting others down ( I know I do!– nag, nag, nag) πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€

So, it makes sense that you’d look to successful male leaders around you to model communication and leadership presence.

Unfortunately, there aren’t as many amazing examples of high-profile women leaders. Who do you admire as a woman leader? πŸ¦ΈπŸ½β€β™€οΈ (post below!)

That’s why I wanted to give you 4 easy tips to find your authentic voice as a woman (in a man’s world).

Confidence and authenticity are certainly not gender-specific, but there are certain challenges and blocks that are common to women.

  • Like all the conditioning women receive early on about being quiet and demure
  • That women tend to value connection and rapport more than men (and want to be liked!)
  • Studies show that women with the same cred as men will not apply to a job if they don’t meet all the pre-reqs, whereas men will more often apply

And, beyond on that, I believe it’s time for women’s voices to be heard loud and clear. Don’t you agree?

Leave your comments at the bottom! I’d love to hear how this inspired you and what women leaders you admire.

In support of your authentic voice!

Warmly,
Julia
